Description

Woven grass basket. These baskets were commonly used in Ethiopia by the Oromo and other people as a kind of "lunch/hot box". They would fill them with "injira", the type of food eaten commonly in Ethiopia (along with "wat" or sauce) and these insulated baskets would keep the food warm for many hours, so it could be eaten at midday.
